Dementia patients who are registered at a local dementia care center (치매안심센터) are eligible to receive care items such as diapers, incontinence pads, and other daily living supplies, with support lasting up to one year from the application date (or unlimited for basic livelihood recipients and lower‑income groups); to apply, residents must visit their district health office or call the center, complete a registration and application form, and submit required documents—patient’s ID, a family relation certificate if a proxy is applying, a recent prescription or diagnostic statement indicating dementia (codes F00–F03 or G30) and medication list, and a copy of the patient’s bank account for reimbursement purposes—after which the application is reviewed, approved, and the items are either collected in person or delivered by mail, depending on local arrangements.
